Four solutions out of one
Dawsongroup has been providing solutions for HDS for the better part of a decade from four of its business units. Dawsongroup | vans provides 3.5t Luton vans to deliver smaller items directly to customers, whilst 7.5t box trucks from Dawsongroup | truck and trailer deliver larger goods. We also supply 18t curtainside trailers, which are specifically fitted out to stand doors upright and ensure they are transported safely and without risk of damage. Dawsongroup | emc provides industrial sweeper-scrubbers at both HDS's Sutton-in-Ashfield and Chesterfield sites, keeping their warehouses clean and maintaining health and safety standards.
Dawsongroup | material handling provides forklift trucks and, working with attachment supplier Hallam Materials Handling, they also provide special appliance clamp attachments. These enable HDS to unload containers efficiently and stack the goods safely in their warehouse. The attachments have extensive opening and closing ranges which accommodate the vast number of differently sized items they process on a daily basis, ensuring all loads are handled efficiently.
Supporting rapid growth
With rapid growth of the company over the last 18 months leading to an expansion of their warehouse facilities at an additional site in Nottingham, Dawsongroup has supported Home Delivery Solutions by providing exactly what they needed to make their container loading and unloading more efficient.

The right product
Chris knows from experience that Dawsongroup’s service is always reliable and of a high standard. We keep up to date with the latest technology, such as providing customers with electric forklift trucks which are more economical and greener for both the economy and the environment. With three of their forklift trucks already electric, HDS is in the process of changing the rest of them over as well, and once vans and trucks have the longer range they need for deliveries, we will work together to change those over too.
