In mid-September, our MK to Paris cycle team took on the four-day, 270-mile cycling challenge in aid of Willen Hospice, Milton Keynes.
Willen Hospice is a charity that is very close to our hearts. They offer comfort, ease pain, and reduce anxiety for patients and their loved ones across Milton Keynes when and where they need it the most. Willen Hospice took great care of our colleague, Scott Neill, and his family during his battle with terminal cancer earlier this year; we will be forever grateful for that.
John Fletcher, Nick Reynolds, and Dom Pennifold took the challenge seriously, getting in as much practice as possible before the event.
The weather was kind throughout the four days, and despite Dom suffering a fall early in the ride injuring his knee, and mechanical failure slowing Nick along the way, the team arrived in Paris together in great spirits.
We are delighted that the fundraising from both on and offline donations exceeded our £10,000 target, directly helping Willen Hospice to provide much needed care to patients and their families when they need it most.
