Plugging into a cleaner future at commercial vehicle exhibitions

ITT Hub opened its doors to visitors at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre in May and first-time event Road Transport Expo took place over three days at Stoneleigh Park in June – with both events attracting thousands of visitors.

Both events gave visitors the opportunity to see first-hand a wide range of vehicles and cutting-edge technology from across the road transport sector, and brought together leading logistics experts to discuss topical issues.

Truck and Trailer had a shared stand with Bus and Coach at ITT Hub and a stand next to Sweepers at RT Expo. At both, we exhibited a new-to-the-market 13.6m Carrier/Gray & Adams all-electric trailer with eye-catching livery.

Promoting our ‘risk-free road to zero’ message, Carrier Vector eCool trailers can be fully charged in under four hours and don’t need diesel or any other fossil fuel. They are both engineless and fully autonomous. They use energy recovery, convert kinetic energy, produce zero CO2 emissions and provide operators with improved sustainability.

With ever-tightening environmental regulations on the horizon and a move to alternative fuels definitely on the cards, the eCool trailer demonstrated to our customers that the future is already here, and available now!

However, it’s understandable that operators are nervous and uncertain about the future they’re facing, coming as it does with the potential for big risks, big capital outlay and big mistakes.

So, as part of our service to make our customers’ journey to zero emissions as easy and as risk-free as possible, we’re doing a lot of the hard work, so that they don’t have to.

We’re investing in emerging technologies, trialling new kit and taking all the associated risks, so that we can provide our customers with easy and flexible access on trial basis, enabling them to evaluate new equipment actually in their own business to see how it works for them.

Our three eCool trailers are proving to be a great hit and we now have a long list of customers wanting to order equipment and take part in trials.

Both ITT Hub and RT Expo were great opportunities to show Dawsongroup in strength. We were able to demonstrate that we’re emerging from the unprecedented circumstances of the past couple of years stronger than ever before – determined to keep up-to-date with developing technologies and committed to making our customers’ journey along the road to zero as easy and as risk-free as possible.
